How can Homeopathy Help?

Before You Go To a Homeopath

Having decided on going for homeopathic treatment it is important that you are clear about the symptoms of your health condition. You should be able to talk about yourself honestly and concisely, and describe your symptoms fully and clearly. Homeopathic prescription depends wholly on the information you give and what the homeopath perceives from observation of your demeanor during the consultation. For example, telling the homeopath that you have severe joint pains due to Arthritis is not good enough for the homeopath because s/he will not be treating your Arthritis as such but you as a whole. S/he will need to understand you as a person and how your general personality has been affected by the illness. Then of-course the type of pain, what makes it better or worse; whether the temperature affects it; whether it gets better or worse on getting wet; whether motion relieves or aggravates; whether it is affected by the type of weather etc. What this means is that if there were ten people suffering from Arthritis and wanted homeopathic treatment, all ten may be prescribed ten different medicines though it may not be necessarily so.

Remember, the homeopath as your physician is on your side, to work with you in partnership against the illness. S/he is not a judge placed over you to decide whether you are a good person or a bad person. So tell them about your negatives as well as your positives – your fears and anxieties; your jealousies and suspicions; your likes and dislikes etc. – so that a complete image of your illness can be formed.

All this is not easy, but if both the physician and the patient try their best together, wonderful results can be achieved, that can amaze and exhilarate both the patient and the homeopath alike. Good luck!
